it's been pretty chilly over the past few weeks, but ben is definately a boy who likes to be outside. despite it being on the cool side (which is warm by my old Western New York standards for the month of January!), we ventured outside for a bit of exploring.
ben was interested in looking at all the remaining fallen leaves, branches and other odds and ends around the yard (of which there's lots thanks to all the trees we've got!)
i was caught completely amazed when he started picking pieces of a dried "flower" and handing them to me, saying "hereyougo". completely understandable, and his first three-word sentence. i think he must have done it about twenty times, because each time he did, i'd clap and say "yay!"
we brought some of what we collected inside, and put it on the dining room table. ben really loves pointing to the things he collected, and i love having something from the outdoors decorating my dining room table.
