because sometimes a little puddle just won't do...

...hurricane hannah came through our state bearing lots of rain in a short amount of time, which caused the pond at the end of our street to overflow onto the road, creating an oversized puddle. (to say there are some drainage issues is an understatement!). since ben, like most little kids, enjoys splashing in puddles (i must admit i still do, too), i thought this extra-large version would be a huge hit with him - especially since the roads in our neighborhood aren't busy.

i have to admit i also thought it would be fun to photograph this adventure, as well. while it was a bit overcast, and the lighting wasn't perfect, i still managed to cull a few good shots our of the dozen or so i snapped...
